The Best Months to have your Wedding

It’s hard enough having to wait for the perfect spouse to come along for you to get married, all that dating and stuff, it’s exhausting, 100% worth it though. It’s even more so frustrating when planning the perfect wedding, but…

…how about the perfect date or better yet the perfect time?

It doesn’t come so easy to people so we’re going to take you through the ideal and most favored months to get hitched, to us at least.

(Your welcome by the way)

#AUGUST

Formally known as Sextillia (The sixth month of the Roman calendar) now known as August courtesy of Emperor Augustus himself. – Apologies for the impromptu history lesson but knowledge is power and you can’t tell me any differently. Also, I bet you didn’t know that so again…your welcome.

Widely known as the month of the harvest and the month of “end” here in the southern parts of Africa.

August opens the holiday time for both students and educational professionals which will, in turn, may tempt friends and family to have the perfect getaway at an event bonded in holy matrimony. It also marks the end of winter so adios stuffy noses and endless tissues filled with…never mind moving on.

August is one to keep your eyes on if you want to ensure a full turn out for your special day.

Unless you’re weird and don’t like people turning up to your wedding then that’s fine too, still weird though just saying.

#MAY

May. Autumn time in the south of Africa.

The fall is just as the name dictates, the fall of leaves, the season is self-explanatory in all its glory. Shorter days and cooler nights is the name of the game here but, that is no shortstop for the embrace of the magical energy that comes with May.

The thought of leaf-littered outdoor weddings is an obvious plus bringing magic in the air. As the trees begin to fall asleep and nature itself comes to a standstill, wedding bells and snazzy formal attire can make for a moment frozen in time along with the trees.

#SEPTEMBER

Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya, dancing in September
Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day…
Not a fan of Earth, Wind and Fire? No?
Well, it’s not for everyone. Great song though, would definitely recommend.

September is probably the most exciting part of the year as it brings spring, and when spring is in the air, love is in the air…mostly, or so they say.

As trees begin to grow their leaves back, resuming their existence and flowers start to bloom, the scenes that follow are nature breathing new life back into itself.

One thought comes to mind when you think of spring and that is, “a new beginning.”

Everybody loves a new beginning, a new car, a new house, a new friend or favourite TV show, beginnings are just fun, it’s the moment before you know whether something is good or not, like a movie. No one ever really knows how good or bad a movie is at the beginning, that’s what makes it exciting, it’s the adventure of it all just waiting to happen. Life is an adventure that has a story of its own, one now that you can share with your significant other.

Open the next chapter or adventure in your lives with mother nature herself.

And you totally get to play “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire with the uttermost opportune appropriation, that’s a bonus all in of itself.

Yes I like Earth, Wind and Fire and yes I love the song in case you didn’t already catch on… I have good music taste get over it, it’s 2021

#DECEMBER

Helloooooo December.

Jingle bells and wedding bells, could there not be a better match made in heaven? – This is a rhetorical question because there really isn’t, at least when it comes to weddings. Anything else is another story and we’re not here to talk about that.

Everyone looks forward to December, the weather is warm and it’s officially summer.

Summertime is code for relaxation time and December is by far the most festive season of the year and, also marks the end of one. If there was ever a time to tie the knot it would be in the warm embrace of good ole December.

Fun time under the sun anyone?

Perfect for outdoor weddings, summer just brings that vibe that can really create a lasting impact on the day of your marriage. Better yet, it’s in the Christmas period so you already know friends and family are going to be feeling particularly giving which means more presents and, who doesn’t like presents? The only thing better than presents is more presents, duh.

On top of all that, a wedding anniversary in December…talk about 2 birds and one stone.

All in all, I believe you guys will make the right decision on when to get married. You both know each other better than we do.

By “you guys” I meant the happy couple; bride and groom, groom and groom or bride and bride… Just putting it out there.

Those are our best months to get married. What do you guys think? feel free to let us know…knowledge is power am I right?
