Marriage, where to start, better yet where to end? I heard these things last forever. To brave life with a person so significant in your life; lover, confidant and friend. Someone to hold and cherish and them to reciprocate these actions to you.

It’s a great deal already right? You don’t have to tell me twice and I know for a fact that you don’t need me to tell you why it’s so great… It’s obvious.

***But I’m going to do it anyway… Because I’m such a nice guy, that and it’s my job.***

Today like many other days, we’re going to take a deep dive into the who, what, where and why of marriage… In simpler terms, the best reasons to get married.

#You share your worries

In marriage what is mine is yours, what’s yours is mine. That means my worries are your worries, my troubles are your troubles are your troubles.

That’s right, when it’s all said and done and you two love birds have tied the knot, you share a lot more than a bed and a last name.

We walk through life with our heads low at times, reasons being things like stress, depression and anxiety. We all have worries, now were have someone who we can share our worries with.

So if you’ve ever been afraid of closing your eyes when washing your hair because, when the soap is gone and you finally open your eyes there’s a monster in your bathroom. Or especially if you’re too chicken to sleep with the lights off alone, a spouse would go a long way.

***FYI… Monsters only exist in politics and/or under your child’s bed. Just so you know.***

#Building that family tree

Vin Diesel once said in a Fast and Furious movie that, *“It’s about family.”*

And you know what? I agree with him. Not because I’ve loved every movie he’s ever been in from ‘XXX’ to ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’, that’s only part of it. The main reason is because he’s right… and he’s Vin Diesel.

A humans most biological function is to reproduce, other human beings to be exact. Yes, we are biologically engineered to be fruitful and multiple again and again… and again, that is if you want 3 kids.

In our society today I guess not everyone is into to making babies and that’s more than fine.

However to have a person or people that look half like you and half like the person you love the most in the world? Man that’s amazing, talk about a miracle really.

***Unless your kids don’t like Vin Diesel… Then they’re not so cool.***

#You have a partner in crime

We’re all a little odd, especially at home, we’re just complete awkward people. To have someone to share those silly moments and level of idiocy with is something special, right out of a fairy tale really.

Bonnie had Clyde and even though Peter Pan had the lost boys, his life changed when he met Wendy. There’s something different about being able to express yourself freely with someone you’re intimate with. Every old experience becomes a new one when you’re with them, every moment becomes a fond memory.

Besides, who’re you supposed to complain about the ending of Game of Thrones and, complain to whenever the refs make a bad call against your sports team; even if it was a correct call, the crazy person we call our spouse who’s equally as looney as us will back us up.

Also… If you don’t like killing spiders or are afraid to, like I am and believe I’m not proud to admit this but I am. You can always ask them to do it. That’s blood of your hands and on there’s, thus the house spiders will exact revenge towards them and not yourself, it’s genius…just a thought though.

#Garaunteed Happiness

Okay I know what you’re thinking, a bit of a stretch to assume that marriage brings you happiness or guaranteed happiness at that but, bear with me here.

It’s simple when you look at it, the love of your life, with a home of your own having children of your own.

When it comes down to it, it’s all you’ve ever wanted all into one bundle.

I’m not saying it will last forever, it could last a year, two years or maybe even five, but you’ll always be happy at the beginning of it all, that much is true.
